What's in My Diaper Bag

Ok ok, I know I have been promising to update this post forever (I'm sorry!).  Since P has potty trained, I haven't needed much in my diaper bag though.  As I prepare for baby brother, I've been thinking about what I'll need and more importantly, what bag will work for me.  I can't believe I'm going to have a newborn and THREE kids so soon!  Eeeeep.

When it comes to a diaper bag, I need something with space, organization, and it obviously has be to stylish!  I just started using the new Itzy Ritzy Tribe tote diaper bag and I LOVE how spacious it is.  I can stay organized so easily with all of the pockets and compartments.  It is perfect for a mama with multiple children, I especially love how the center (main) compartment is split into two sections.  I chose the coffee and cream color combination and I love the fabrics to much.  The mix of colors and textures makes the bag go with absolutely everything.  Itzy Ritzy actually has two diaper bag styles and a backpack style, and they're all available in three different colors.  You can see all of the styles on Itzy Ritzy's new website here!

When packing my diaper bag, I try to always be prepared for the worst, without overpacking.  After two babies, I know exactly what I might need and what things I can leave behind.

What's In My Diaper Bag

The bag: I am loving the new Tribe tote diaper bag by Itzy Ritzy, definitely check it out if you have multiple children!

Diapering: I'm not super picky when it comes to diapers.  For baby brother, I just got some Babyganics newborn diapers and they are super soft.  I usually pack 4 diapers and a package of wipes in my diaper bag.  The Tribe diaper bag includes a changing pad.

Extra clothes: For the girls, I usually pack each of them a dress and extra panties.  I go with dresses because it's an entire outfit in one (rather than a top and pants).  When they were younger, I would usually pack pajamas (again because it's an entire outfit in one).  I also throw in a hat and sweater.

Food/drink: Snacks, snacks, and more snacks.  If there is one thing I don't ever leave the house without, it's snacks.  I try to pack snacks that are healthy and not messy (like dried fruit, nuts, and cut up fruits and veggies).  I also always pack Phayre a sippy cup and a bib, I love the spill proof cups from Replay recycle and the waterproof silicone roll up bib from oxo tot.

For baby, I always pack my nursing cover.  If you're not nursing, you'll need one bottle and formula (those little formula dispensers are really handy!).

Comfort items: Think pacifiers and special toys or blankets.  We never leave the house without P's Boo doll, although she holds it and it doesn't go in my bag.  I do always have a small swaddle blanket rolled up in my bag.  Just in case we get caught out somewhere and one of the girls needs to take a snooze on the go.  I also always have a few activity packs in my diaper bag, these really come in handy at restaurants (I get them at Michael's craft store for $1 each, each pack has a little coloring book, crayons, and stickers).

First aid/clean up: I always have wipes, hand sanitizer, a sunscreen stick, and disposable bags with me (these come in handy if anyone has an accident/blowout!).  I also always have a small thermometer, a few bandaids, and some infant Tylenol in my bag, just in case!

I hope this list helps you mama's feel more prepared while you're out with your kiddos!  There's a fine line between being prepared and overpacking.  Once you've figured out what you and your kids actually need, you'll be prepared for anything without feeling like you've brought half your house with you!

Definitely check out all of the new diaper bags on the new Itzy Ritzy website!  Tune in to my Instagram on Tuesday (8/1) for a chance to win an Itzy Ritzy diaper bag!!!
