Weekending and cake.

Ah the weekend.  If there's one thing we're good at, it's making the most of our weekends.  We jam pack them with outings, errands, way too much food (and sweets), and family time.  Summer is quickly slipping away and we're welcoming fall.  While I'm ready for pumpkin spice everything, I am really really reeeeeealllly going to miss the sunshine.  And boating, and the pool, and seeing Phayre's thighs in bloomers.  But this weekend was good and I'm watching the Real Housewives of New Jersey while drinking rosé so this post is sure to be riveting.

Last week Sloan started back at preschool and it really helped everyone get back into a routine and feeling normal again.  It's been almost two weeks since the accident and while I still feel anxiety at times, I really am feeling so much better.  Between ballet, school, and playdates our days are busy which is a really good thing!  Our days are back to normal and I am so thankful for that.

The weather has been pretty unpredictable lately, but we lucked out with nothing but sunshine this weekend.  We squeezed in one last boat ride on the river and it was amazing.  Theres something about being out on the water as a family, time just seems to slow down.  And the girls and I tripleted in leopard bikinis so the day basically could't suck.  The only thing that did suck is the fact that I didn't get a photo of all three of us!  But the girls did both fall asleep on me at one point, so that definitely made up for it.

They say a Sunday well spent brings a week of content and we certainly take that to heart.  Our Sunday was relaxed, but busy.  We braved Costco and Target, did some chores around the house, and let the girls run around the park.  And because we ate a super late lunch and because we're super cool parents, we all ate banana cake for dinner.  So basically we won at parenting today.

See guys I told you, riveting.  I really just wanted to say that life is getting back to normal and it feels really good.  I love my little family so much and doing life with them is the best.  Ever.
