Friday Favorites / Summer Lovin'

Oregon has finally accepted the fact that it is indeed summer!  We've had amazing weather and we are loooooooving it!  I wanted to quickly share a few of our summer favorites, the stuff we couldn't really live without these days.

If you don't already have a Gathre mat, run and snag one right now!  We love our Gathre mats (yes, as in plural) and use them daily.  Gathre mats are made of bonded leather, are waterproof, and easily shake clean.  And the best part?  If something wet or sticky get's on the mat, you can easily wipe it clean with a baby wipe.  I keep one in my car for park and splash pad dates, one in our house for painting and play dough activities, and one in our backyard for picnics!  You could easily get away with one mat, but Gathre keeps coming out with new colors and prints and I can't help myself :)!  The midi size is my favorite, our whole family can sit on it comfortable and it folds up pretty small.

If you follow me on Pinterest, you know I pin a lot of recipes.  I love food, especially while 100 months pregnant ;).  I am constantly craving barbecue lately and have recently fallen in love with barbecued corn.  We just tried this recipe and oh. em. gee. it was so good!

This is a bit random, but my friend Nicole recently recommended Alba Botanica sunscreen and I'm obsessed.  I love the lavender soothing sunscreen for the girls' faces and the active for kids clear sunscreen spray for their bodies.  It goes on easily, rubs in easily, and doesn't smell like harsh chemicals.

I fiiiiinally bought battery operated clip on fans for the girls to use while we're taking walks and they're sitting in the stroller.  Best invention ever, keeps them cool and comfortable.

Since Sloan is out of preschool for the summer, I bought her this preschool workbook and she really likes it.  We've also gotten some new books and our current favorites are Today and Wemberly's Ice Cream Star.

Eric and I took the girls to see Despicable Me 3 in theaters last weekend and both girls loved it!!  If you need a break from the heat, definitely take your kiddos!

I love love this beach tote and these sunglasses (I wear them constantly!).

Sloan is obsessed with these sandals and Phayre wants a pair so bad... too bad she has to wait until Sloan outgrows them and passes them down.  Plus P seriously hates shoes and takes them off every chance she gets so I don't know why she wants a pair so bad?!

Sloan and I are going to attempt making a fairy garden this weekend!  If you haven't seen these look them up, so cute!
