Mom Style: Spring and Summer

A few months ago, I did a "Mama style" post and I got a lot of great feedback!  I thought I'd do a new one as we enter a new season.  Summmmmmmmer is finally here!!!  Well almost.  Only one more week and then it will officially be summer!  I LOVE summertime.  Gimme all the sunshine, champagne, and fun stuff outside.  Oh and comfortable flowy dresses.

The last time I posted, I had about 30 pounds of baby weight to lose.  I've lost about half of that, only 16 pounds to go!  The baby weight isn't exactly falling off the third time around ;), but I'm actually feeling ok about it!  I'll get there eventually, when I have more time to make myself a priority.  Until then, I need to get some summer clothes that fit me!  I thought I'd share my finds below.  Enjoy and happy shopping!

My Favorites/Must Haves:
The perfect formal summer dress (perfect for a wedding or special event!)
You need this tank top (I grabbed it in white, gray, highland green, and candy pink!).
Can't stop wearing this top, so cute with skinny jeans.
My favorite ever skinny jeans (they're super stretchy, size down a size or two).
I'm only 5'3" so I wasn't sure if I could pull off culottes, but these ones are SO good!!
I live in saltwater sandals all summer long, they're so comfortable and go with everything.

You guyyyyyyys!!! My collection with goumikids is finally here!!!

I am so excited about this collection, it really is near and dear to my heart.

When Eric and I started trying for a baby, we were shocked when it didn't happen right away.  We were young and married and wanted a baby!!  It took us a few years and we were definitely getting anxious.  When we finally got pregnant with Sloan, my mother in law bought me a little celebratory gift from a baby boutique right by her work.  She bought me a pair of goumikids scratch mittens and boy did those come in handy!  I have used those little mitts with all three of my kids!  As most of you know, my mother in law passed away very unexpectedly last year.  Those little gray and cream mitts are so special to me and make me think of her every time I look at them.

Goumikids is a Portland based company, run by moms!  A few of my friends actually work for goumikids and connected me with the owner, Lili.  Upon meeting her, we quickly realized that we needed to design a Hello Baby Brown collection!  That was months ago and to finally see my prints on the goumikids products feels amazing!

The gender neutral charcoal stripe print is perfect for boys and girls!  I love how simple and classic it is.  The coordinating floral is the sweetest print and makes me really wish I had twins so that I could use both prints at the same time!  Each piece is made from the absolute softest fabric, you'll fall in love as soon as you feel it.  Their mitts and boots are tiny, but mighty-my absolute favorite goumikids products.  Briar lives in their jamms, they're so incredibly cozy.  Ah I'm so excited!  I literally cannot wait to see these prints on your babes!!!

Goumikids also gives back!  10% of their profits go to victims of human trafficking.

I hope you love these prints as much as I do!  You can shop the entire collection here!

Briar the Big Boy and the Cybex Sirona M

This post is brought to you in partnership with Cybex.  All thoughts and opinions expressed are 100% my own.  Thank you for supporting the brands that support this blog!

Briar is somehow already nine months old and turning into such a big boy!!  He's growing like a weed and quickly outgrowing his infant carseat.  Eric and I have been looking for the perfect  convertible carseat and we finally decided on the Cybex Sirona M.  It's so plush and comfortable, I seriously wish I could sit in it!

The Sirona M is engineered in Germany and so easy to use.  It houses advanced child safety protection called SensorSafe 2.0.  SensorSafe 2.0 integrates safety technology into the chest clip of the carseat to alert parents when the carseat is no longer safe.

According to the Cybex website

The Sirona M with SensorSafe 2.0 monitors the well-being of the seated child through the smart chest clip that is synced with the installed vehicle receiver and the caregiver's smartphone. The Sirona M with SensorSafe 2.0 offers an adjustable Linear Side-Impact Protection (L.S.P.) System, which can reduce side impact forces by up to 25% when used properly, and a 12-position height adjustable headrest with integrated no-rethread harness for protection that grows with your child.

The carseat was super easy to install into the car and adjust to fit Briar.  The headrest with integrated harness guide can be easily adjusted and has 12 position heights.  You don't have to rethread the harness to adjust the carseat as your child grows, making it impossible to rethread the straps incorrectly.  There is a removable newborn insert, you can actually use the carseat from birth to 65 pounds!  The carseat can sit rear-facing from birth to 40 pounds and sit forward-facing from 22-65 pounds (if 2 years or older).
A few other features that I love are the cup holder (every carseat should have a cup holder right!).  The one handed adjustable recline to ensure it's the right fit for your vehicle.  And the magnetic belt holders that hold the carseat straps out of the way while you load your child into their seat.  Bottom line-the Cybex Sirona M is safe, comfortable, and functional!  If only I could get used to seeing Briar sitting in it like such a big boy!!

I wish our boy wasn't in such a rush to grow up, but I do love how comfortable he is in his new carseat!  For lots more information about the Cybex Sirona M, check out their website!
